LAURA VILLENA

SEA WOMAN
Site-specific show for 12 people.
The public gathers in the labyrinthine streets of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter and is guided through oral and visual poems to the home of Mujer Mar.

There you'll find a Sandy Skoglund-style fish tank, an empty painter's studio, Jerusalem under military occupation, a bar counter, grandma's house, the bathroom-shelter during the Ramblas attacks, and other universes recreated from sets, visual and sound installations.

In this autofictional work, the poet invites the audience to experience themes of absence, displacement, eroticism, justice, and connection. It is a traveling performance that engages the viewer with their full presence.
